Maybe 10 or 15 miles from the County Hospital was my aunt and uncle's cottage and boat house on Rock River. Many summers were spent out there, jumping off the cement pier, swimming with real inner tubes, picking off the suckers, catching bullheads, swinging on the front porch, and just generally enjoying everything. Because of the swimming suits, these may be pictures from out there. I don't know all the people but there's my dad and mother with Tom and Judy and my cousin Carole Jean Klink on the right.
In the picture below, I'm not sure who the two boys on the left are; Dick Klink and Kenny Klink? Then there's Carole Jean, Aunt Isabel with Tom (?), my mother with Judy, and Alice Kroll.
Frank and Alice Kroll, according to the 1940 census, lived 14 914A West Oklahoma Ave., not far from the Sack household in Milwaukee. The two youngest boys in the picture could be David and Gregory (?) Kroll. They seem to have been very close friends of the family but not related to us that we know of.
